7 Days to Die Server Guide

Setup

  • Deploy a game server and select 7 Days to Die
  • Basic tier or higher
  • Set your server name and game world

    • Configuration

    Edit serverconfig.xml:

  • ServerName - Server display name
  • ServerMaxPlayerCount - Maximum players
  • GameDifficulty - 0-5 difficulty setting
  • DayNightLength - Day/night cycle duration
  • LootAbundance - Loot multiplier
  • ZombiesRun - Day/night zombie behavior

    • World Options

  • Navezgane - Hand-crafted world
  • Random Gen - Procedurally generated worlds
  • Custom worlds can be uploaded via SFTP

    • Modding

    Upload mods to the /Mods/ directory. The server loads them automatically on startup. Popular mods include Darkness Falls and Undead Legacy.

    Blood Moon

    Configure Blood Moon (horde night) frequency and difficulty in the server config. Default is every 7 days.
