ARK: Survival Evolved Server Guide

Setup

  • Deploy a game server and select ARK: Survival Evolved
  • Choose Pro tier or higher
  • Select your map (The Island, Ragnarok, etc.)

    • Configuration

    Adjust settings in GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini:

  • Taming, harvesting, and XP multipliers
  • Day/night cycle speed
  • Player and dino stats per level
  • Engram point allocation

    • Maps

    All official maps are supported:

  • The Island, The Center, Scorched Earth, Ragnarok
  • Aberration, Extinction, Valguero, Crystal Isles
  • Genesis Part 1 & 2, Lost Island, Fjordur

    • Custom maps are also supported via Steam Workshop.

    Cluster Mode

    Run multiple map servers in a cluster for cross-map player transfers. Configure with matching cluster IDs.

    Auto-Updates

    The server checks for and installs updates on restart. Enable scheduled restarts for automatic patching.
