What is NoobHost Private Networking?
A private, encrypted mesh between your devices and your NoobHost servers — and why we never see your traffic.
What is Private Networking?
Private Networking gives you a private, encrypted network that links your own devices (PC, laptop) directly to your NoobHost servers — so you can reach them like they're on your own LAN, with nothing exposed to the public internet.
What you can do with it
- SSH into your server privately, with nothing on a public port
- Reach control panels, databases, and dashboards that are otherwise locked down
- Manage game server admin / RCON privately
- Treat your server as if it were on your local network
How it works
We run our own coordination server at vpn.noobhost.com and use the standard, open-source Tailscale client. The NoobHost Agent sets everything up for you in one click. Under the hood it builds a direct, end-to-end-encrypted WireGuard tunnel between your device and your server.
Privacy: we never see your traffic
This is important: NoobHost only coordinates the connection (who can talk to whom, and key exchange). Once two devices know about each other, they talk directly, end-to-end encrypted — your traffic never passes through NoobHost. We keep connection metadata (which devices exist, whether they're online, and whether a connection is direct or relayed) to run and secure the service, but never the contents of your traffic.
Availability
Private Networking is a per-server add-on you can enable on any of your servers — web, game, app, or proxy — for $1.99/mo each. Your own devices connect for free. See Plans, pricing, and device limits.
