Domain Registration Terms
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These terms supplement our General Terms of Service. By registering, transferring, or renewing a domain through NoobHost, you agree to these additional terms.
1. Domain Registration
NoobHost provides domain registration services as an authorized reseller through an ICANN-accredited registrar (OpenProvider / Realtime Register B.V.). All domain registrations are subject to the policies of the applicable registry operator and ICANN. By registering a domain through NoobHost, you agree to comply with all such policies.
You must provide accurate, complete, and current contact information (registrant, administrative, technical, and billing contacts) for all domain registrations. You agree to update this information promptly if it changes. Providing false or misleading contact information may result in domain suspension or cancellation by the registry.
2. Domain Refund Policy
Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are non-refundable once processed with the registry. This includes:
- New domain registrations
- Domain renewals (manual or automatic)
- Domain transfers between registrars
- Premium and aftermarket domain purchases
Deleted domains are not eligible for refunds. If a domain registration or transfer fails due to an error on our part, we will issue a full refund or retry the operation at no additional cost.
3. Transfer Restrictions
Domain transfers between registrars are subject to restrictions imposed by registry operators. These include:
- Transfer-prohibited TLDs: Certain TLDs do not permit transfers between registrars, including but not limited to: .AC, .AG, .AM, .BZ, .CN, .COM.BR, .COM.CN, .COM.MX, .COM.PK, .CX, .FM, .GD, .GS, .HN, .IM, .LC, .MS, .MU, .NET.BR, .NET.CN, .NF, and .ORG.CN.
- 60-day lock: Some TLDs impose a mandatory 60-day lock after registration before transfers are permitted, including .COM.TW, .CO.IN, .IN, .FIRM.IN, and related Indian/Taiwanese TLDs.
- Transfer delays: Transfer processing times vary by registry and are outside NoobHost's direct control. Transfers typically take 5-7 days but may take longer.
NoobHost is not responsible for transfer delays, denials, or restrictions imposed by registries or the losing registrar.
4. Registration Period Limitations
Available registration periods vary by TLD. Some examples:
- 1 year only: .AT, .BE, .CH, .CM, .DE, .DK, .FR, .IT, .KR, .LI, .LT, .LU, .NL, and others
- 2 years only: .GR, .HU
- Maximum 5 years: .CN, .CO, .CO.IN, .IN, and others
- Standard 1-10 years: .COM, .NET, .ORG, .BIZ, .CC, and most generic TLDs
The available registration periods will be shown at checkout. NoobHost cannot override registry-imposed duration limits.
5. Dispute Resolution
Domain name disputes are handled according to the applicable dispute resolution policy for the TLD:
- Generic TLDs (.com, .net, .org, .biz, etc.): ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP)
- Country-code TLDs: The applicable country-specific dispute resolution policy (e.g., CEPANI ADR for .BE, CNNIC for .CN, HKIRC for .HK, TWNIC for .TW, DENIC for .DE)
By registering a domain, you agree to submit to the applicable dispute resolution process and accept that your domain may be suspended, cancelled, or transferred as a result of such proceedings.
6. Privacy and Proxy Services
WHOIS privacy protection is available for most generic TLDs. However, certain TLDs prohibit the use of privacy or proxy registration services, including but not limited to .BANK, .INSURANCE, and certain country-code TLDs with verified registrant requirements.
Where WHOIS privacy is enabled, your personal contact information will be replaced with proxy data in public WHOIS records. Registry operators and ICANN may still access your actual contact details as required by their policies.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use any domain registered through NoobHost for:
- Illegal activities, phishing, spam, or malware distribution
- Trademark infringement or cybersquatting
- Generation of misdirected or typo-squatting traffic
- Any activity that violates the applicable registry's Acceptable Use Policy
NoobHost reserves the right to suspend or cancel domains used in violation of these terms, registrar policies, or applicable law, with or without prior notice.
8. Special TLD Requirements
Certain TLDs have additional requirements imposed by their registry operators:
- .BANK / .INSURANCE: Restricted to verified financial institutions and insurance entities. Privacy/proxy services are prohibited. Registrants must comply with enhanced security requirements and may not license domains to third parties.
- .CO: Marketing restrictions apply - domains may not be marketed for typo traffic, PPC revenue, or misdirected traffic purposes.
- .EU: Registrants must be established in the European Union.
- .NL: Unauthorized transfers may incur penalties. Registrant verification via WHOIS is required for transfers.
By registering a domain under a restricted TLD, you represent that you meet all applicable eligibility requirements.
9. Auto-Renewal and Expiration
Domains with auto-renewal enabled will be automatically renewed before their expiration date. You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method. If renewal payment fails:
- We will send email notifications at 30, 7, and 1 day(s) before expiration
- A grace period may be available depending on the TLD (typically 30-45 days)
- After the grace period, the domain may enter a redemption period with additional fees
- Expired domains that are not renewed may be released back to the public for registration
NoobHost is not responsible for domains lost due to failed renewal payments.
10. Domain Parking on Expiration
When a domain registered through NoobHost expires and is not renewed within the applicable grace period, NoobHost reserves the right to display a parked page on the expired domain. This parked page may include:
- A notice that the domain has expired
- Information about NoobHost's services and offerings
- Links to NoobHost's website and promotional material
- Third-party advertisements at NoobHost's discretion
The parked page will remain active until the domain is renewed by the owner, released back to the public registry, or otherwise transferred. By registering a domain through NoobHost, you consent to this practice. If you wish to avoid domain parking, ensure your domain is renewed before its expiration date or transfer it to another registrar prior to expiry.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NoobHost, its registrar partners (OpenProvider / Realtime Register B.V.), and applicable registry operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your domain name registration, use, or any dispute related thereto. This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account.
12. Service Limitations
NoobHost acts as a reseller through an accredited registrar. Domain availability, registration processing times, and transfer timelines are subject to registry and registrar operations outside NoobHost's direct control. NoobHost does not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted domain registration or DNS services
- Availability of any specific domain name
- Specific transfer completion timelines
- Uptime of third-party registry or WHOIS services
13. Third-Party Registry Policies
Each TLD is governed by its own registry operator with specific policies regarding eligibility, content, transfers, and dispute resolution. By registering a domain, you agree to the applicable registry's terms. Links to major registry policies are available in your domain management dashboard. A complete list of applicable registry policies is available upon request at legal@noobhost.com.
