Plan Change Terms

These terms apply to upgrades, downgrades, and region changes performed through the Change plan wizard. They supplement and do not replace the master Terms of Service.

• Upgrades take effect immediately and may include pro-rated charges for the current billing period.
• In-place upgrades can involve brief service restarts.
• New-VPS migrations typically take 10 to 60 minutes depending on data size.

• Monthly downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
• Annual downgrade credits compare the annual amount paid against the current monthly plan price multiplied by elapsed full months.
• If the annual payment still exceeds month-by-month value used, the remaining amount is credited.
• If the values are equal, no credit is due.
• If month-by-month value exceeds the annual amount paid, we waive the overage.
• A non-refundable downgrade fee may apply and is disclosed before confirmation.

• Resource add-ons that are no longer compatible with the destination plan are cancelled automatically.
• Applicable add-on credits are handled through Stripe.
• A force-new-VPS fee applies when you request a replacement VPS where an in-place change was possible.

• New-VPS plan changes include a 7-day rollback window.
• The previous VPS is retained during the rollback window and reclaimed after grace expires.
• In-place plan changes do not include a rollback window because no replacement VPS is created.
• If in-place verification fails, we restore the previous plan state automatically.

Some regions carry an additional subscription surcharge. Surcharges are shown in the pricing summary before confirmation and are applied as subscription items through Stripe.

• You may cancel a pending or awaiting-payment plan change without charge.
• Once migration begins, finalized charges are not refunded except through an available rollback or required recovery path.
• If migration fails before cutover, your subscription is restored and provisional charges are reversed where applicable.
• If migration fails after cutover, support is notified automatically and will work to restore service.

For domains registered outside NoobHost, DNS updates are your responsibility. We continue to serve traffic from the old VPS for up to 7 days while DNS propagates during new-VPS migrations.
