What is a Bag of Holding?
A big, inexpensive storage add-on you can attach to your website, apps, and game saves...and resize any time.
What is a Bag of Holding?
A Bag of Holding is bulk storage you rent by the month and attach to the things you already host with us. It's built for the stuff that doesn't fit on (or doesn't belong on) your server's fast local disk: media libraries, uploads, archives, exports, and saved game worlds.
Sizes and prices
| Size | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 TB | $6/mo |
| 5 TB | $20/mo |
| 10 TB | $37/mo |
| 20 TB | $70/mo |
You can upgrade or downgrade between sizes at any time with no data migration. A downgrade just needs your used space to fit the smaller size.
What can I attach it to?
One Bag can be attached to several things at once, all sharing its capacity:
- Web hosting: add it as an extra folder inside your site (great for uploads/media), or move your entire web directory onto it. See Using a Bag with your website.
- Game campaign saves: add its full size to your campaign-save space, shared across every game you play. Saves are counted by size, not slots. See Bigger campaign saves.
- App hosting: mount it as a cold-data folder for your deployed apps. See Cold storage for apps.
Where does it live?
Each Bag is a dedicated network storage volume in the region you pick at purchase. For the best speed, pick the same region as the server you'll attach it to. Every attachment gets its own isolated, jailed credentials. One attachment can never read another's files.
Good to know
- Capacity is shared across everything you attach one Bag to.
- It's network storage: a touch slower than local disk, ideal for large/cold files rather than databases.
- Buy, attach, resize, and release it from Dashboard → Bag of Holding.
